IGNITE THE NIGHT: ANCHORING HOPE IN CHIRST

Last year, we reignited our annual fundraiser for The Lighthouse ministry under the theme “Keep the Lighthouse Shining”. By God’s endless grace, mercy, and provision, and with your generous support and contributions, we did just that! Thank you so much for keeping the Lighthouse going.

As we move forward with renewed strength and direction, our heart heading into the Christmas season is “Anchoring Hope in Christ”. Through The Lighthouse ministry, we seek to bring the hope of the gospel to those navigating life’s storms, including the homeless, the homebound, and others facing spiritual or physical hardship. By sharing food and the good news of Jesus Christ, we hope to be a beacon of His love and light to those in need throughout Orangeville. With so much happening in the world today, hope can be out of reach. But when we anchor our lives in Jesus Christ, no heavy winds or storms can shake us. And what better time to go out and give than Christmas?

Come out and join Becki Lynn & The Felicity Alliance for a wonderful family night of heartfelt original music and beloved carols, celebrating the message of joy, hope, and generosity.

FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT!

A mystery movie, popcorn, candy, coffee, hot chocolate, and fellowship! Your whole family is welcome to join us at the Uptown Church for a family-fun Christmas film in our heritage movie theatre along with wonderful fellowship upstairs on the third floor.

Bring your favourite Christmas sweaters or pajamas.

ADVENT 2026

As we enter the Christmas season, we honour the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ through prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. We light one candle on the seven-branched lampstand each Sunday from mid-November till Christmas Eve for a total of 40 Days. Each day represents a week, symbolizing the 40-weeks Mary carried God in her womb.

CHRISTMAS EVE CANDLELIGHT SERVICE

Join us Christmas Eve for a solemn night of joyful hymns, spiritual songs, and dramatic Scripture reading in holy reverence to our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, who was born a man that we may be born again. Nearing the end of the service, the pastor lights the final white candle of Advent to symbolize Christ's birth, followed by a Christmas carol as the congregation stands united in candlelight––the light of the world.
